There is only one moment and it is now. It has no beginning or end. When you are present with the moment are you present with god? Time is what we have superimposed on the moment and through time we are rarely present. With this sketch I am interested in exploring our relationship with time as it pertains to varying levels of consciousness. In the outer realm of a dull and drab reality I question our position in the scenario as it plays out. One second here, the next there...in focus, out of focus. Are we ever really present? We are physically here but our thoughts may be elsewhere. Beginning with the music-box coming into focus, there is a painted-on and sinister sense of cheer. It freezes in time. We are made aware of a mundane task but where are we as the clock ticks incessantly? The moment is one. Time slows as our attention is drawn inward The surreal setting of a childlike dream. We go back in memory. Back to Fidelity The ghostly looping of time, space and sound elicits an eerie tone of the intangible, the elusive. Finally, the duality of being in the eternal. The celestial point of creation. A delicate line between good and evil. At any given time you are: Fire and Ice, Angel and Devil, Heaven and Hell. Does one consume the other in a conflict battled out on the plains of morality?
